ABOUT PASTOR TERESA HARDY

“…thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” Jeremiah 1:7

Reverend Teresa M. Hardy is the daughter of Patricia Jones and Gary Hodnett. She felt the presence of God in her life at a very young age and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at the age of seven at Bennett Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Harvey T. Ferguson. Teresa was educated in Danville Public Schools and graduated from George Washington High School in 1989. She is also a 1997 graduate of Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama and a 2016 graduate of Danville Community College with an Associate of Arts & Science Degree in Social Science. She is a United States Army Veteran who traveled the world and served in the Persian Gulf War. After completing her term of service in the Army in 1993, Teresa moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she sat under the tutelage of Overseer Dan and Pastor Barbara Mincey in the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church. It was there that she preached her first sermon on October 11, 1996. In the Spring of 2000, Teresa returned to Danville and rejoined Bennett Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and was licensed as one of their associate ministers. She served in many capacities – Youth ministry coordinator, Bible Study teacher, choir president, outreach ministry, etc. Rev. Hardy joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in July 2015 and was ordained on March 6, 2016. History was made on October 7, 2016, when Rev. Teresa M. Hardy was called by Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church (the oldest African-American Baptist Church in North Carolina) as their first female pastor. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Rev. Hardy’s loves spending time with her husband, Carlton Hardy, Sr., son, Carlton Jr., and other family and friends
